Doris Elizabeth Wahl Scheerer

Doris Elizabeth Wahl Scheerer, 83, widow of Paul N. Scheerer, Sr. passed away quietly on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Oak Crest Village in Parkville, MD. Mrs. Scheerer was born March 21, 1929 to Joseph and Sophia Martin Wahl. She was a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame. A homemaker, Mrs. Scheerer volunteered countless hours for many organizations. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10AM in the chapel at Oak Crest Village. The family will receive friends at a reception at Oak Crest Village immediately following the service. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the reception. Mrs. Scheerer was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her children, Christine Garrison and her husband, Larry, of Clarksville, Va; Joann Mildner and her husband, Edward; Linda Knudsen and her husband, Robert, Sr.; Paul Scheerer, Jr. and his wife, Susan; Dr. Michael Scheerer and his wife, Barbara, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Scheerer, all of Baltimore, MD. Her eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and sisters, Mary Ellen Brady and her husband, Norman of California and Margaret Valderas of Baltimore, MD also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Scheerer and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Knudsen.
