Clarksville, VA - Dorothy May Ingham, after living 104 years, peacefully went to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2020 surrounded by family.Born May 11, 1915 in Washington, D. C. Dorothy later moved to Lynchburg, Va. Beloved wife of CAPT Thomas Richard Ingham, of Wymore, Nebraska, who always noticed that everyone from Virginia was her cousin and friend! They were married in Honolulu in 1940. Sheis survived by her daughter Karyl Lee Martin and her children (Kristina, William, Dorothy, John), her sons, Thomas Richard Ingham, Jr. and his children (Angela, Thomas, Robert), and Lawrence David Ingham and his daughter (Corinne). She was blessed to have thirteen great-grandchildren. Dorothy graduated from E.C Glass High School and then graduated from the Washington School for Secretaries. She served her country as a navy wife, worked for NATO and the Hampton Roads Port of Embarkation. She and her husband retired in Clarksville. Dorothy later moved to Norfolk, to live with her daughter. Dorothy enjoyed genealogy, spending time with family and friends in Clarksville. A memorial service will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 111 Sixth St. Clarksville, VA 23927.
