Dorothy E. Knight

Dorothy E. Knight, 86, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at her home. She was born October 8, 1924 to the late Joseph Franklin Shedd and Lillie Marie Morrison. Dorothy was a Guardian ad litem for the Polk County justice system in Lakeland, FL and a hospice volunteer for the Mountain Valley Hospice in Elkin, NC. Dorothy was a member of Traphill Baptist Church in Traphill, where a memorial service will be held 2PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 with Reverend Bobby Trott officiating. She is survived by her daughters Winifred Smith of San Angelo, TX, Diane and her husband The Rev. Bobby Trott of Roaring River, Kathleen M. Santiago of Traphill, Peggy and her husband Cliff Freeman of Piney Creek, and Ivy Fitzgerald and her friend Mike Wilson of Palm Springs, CA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and her brother and sister-in-law Fred W. and Martha Morrison of Crystal River, FL.
