Dorothy Lucille Link Turner

Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Link Turner of 3135 Cedar Grove Rd., Alton, VA died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born March 29, 1922 to the late George Norman Link, Sr. and the late Annie Wilborn Link, and was married to Eddie L. “E. L.” Turner . Mrs. Turner was a retired sales clerk for Super Dollar and was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church where she was the pianist for many years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Larry D. Turner and wife, Pat, Carl E. Turner and wife, Wanda, both of Alton, VA; her sister, Virginia Dunn of Alton, VA; and her brother, Earl Link of Alton, VA; two grandchildren, Jonathan Turner and Alyssa Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Charlie Link, Willard Link, George Norman Link, Jr. Carl E. Link and Hemmett Link; two sisters, Alma Shutts and Mildred Rogers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bonnie Pizzeck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm and at other times at the home.
