Dorothy Leland Redmond

Clarksville, VA - Dorothy Viola Leland Redmond died on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the age of 90. She was born in Washington, D.C. on May 10, 1929, to the late Allison Wilmer Leland and Susan Eva Butler Leland. Dorothy married Charles Bernhardt Redmond on December 18, 1948 and lived in Bethesda, MD and Hamilton, VA before moving to Clarksville on Kerr Lake. She worked for a CPA firm and a law firm before retiring in March of 1969. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Charles; four loving and caring children, Dorothy Redmond, Patricia Redmond, Judith Mansfield and Charles Redmond; sister, Helen Giuliana; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or CMH Hospice be considered.
