Dorsey Wayne Fuller

On the morning of November 9th, 2014, Wayne Fuller passed away after a seven month battle with cancer; while being attended by family and friends at his son's home in Richmond Virginia. Wayne was 66 years old. He passed prior to his birthday of November 20th and his 45th wedding anniversary of December 6th. Wayne was born in Bailey-Switch, Virginia on November 20th, 1947. He attended High School in St Augustine FL. He was the eldest son of Bernard Schuler and the late Grace Lee Fuller. He was also brother to the late Bernard Brittian Fuller Wayne volunteered to join the United States ARMY in February 1967 as an infantryman. He served three tours in Vietnam and returned home as a Staff Sargent. He acquired numerous medals, accommodations and special achievements during his 8 year career. He was a Professional Tractor Trailer Operator until he retired in 2005 with an accident free career and was adamant about being on time. During retirement, he was also a proud owner of the “A2Z HOBBY” retail hobby shop of Clarksville VA and spent countless days making new friends and supporting his customers. He enjoyed classic country music, classic cars, fishing, lawn care, boating, jet skiing, ATV Trips, Lego's, Nascar, Scale Trains, Slot Cars, RC Airplanes, and building Radio Control Cars & Trucks. Wayne was active with the “VETS ON A ROLL” project in Clarksville VA and participated by taking many of the disabled veterans out on fishing trips to Bugg's Island Lake. He donated and assisted with the “Last Train To Clarksville” layout at the Clarksville Museum and attended Public Fork Church Of Christ of Red Oak VA. Wayne is survived by his father Bernard Fuller of Clarksville VA, his brother Darrell Fuller of Tazewell VA, his wife Barbara Fuller of Clarksville VA, his son and daughter-in-law Leighton & Andrea Fuller of Richmond VA and his loving family and friends. A “Celebration Of Life” service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22nd at Clarksville Community Center: 103 Woodland Dr, Clarksville, VA 23927 This will be a catered event with casual dress, so please plan to enjoy the celebration.
