Douglas Ray Fisher

Mr. Douglas Ray Fisher of 8159 J.D. Hagood Hwy., Scottsburg, VA died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the age of 56. He was born in Virginia on December 12, 1957 to the late Carl Lynwood Fisher, Sr. and the late Christine Moore. Mr. Fisher was retired contractor and he actively attended the New Covenant Worship Center. Survivors include loving friend and caretaker, Janice Puryear of Scottsburg, VA; a daughter and two grandchildren; step mother, Ruby Fisher of South Boston, VA; a brother, Michael Fisher of Alton, VA; a sister, Shirley Fisher Crews & husband, Gene of Franklin, TN; and several other half brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 8:00 PM at the New Covenant Worship Center with Rev. Grant Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends at the New Covenant Worship Center on Tuesday from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
