OBITUARY FOR DR MANGALDAS B MISTRY (Commonly known as Dr. Mistry)

Dr. Mistry was a native of Vadnagar, Gujarat, India and lived most of his life in a town of Rajpardi, in Bharuch district, Gujarat, India.

He was born on January 19, 1937 and was eldest of three brothers. He completed his medical school from Surat in 1964. He initially started his medical practice in Avidha and moved to Rajpardi in 1967. Dr. Mistry worked as a family physician serving the rural population for almost 60 years. He served three generation of families. Dr. Mistry became well known in Southern Gujarat and had patients coming from neighboring states. He dedicated his entire life to patient care.

He retired and moved to USA in 2017 to be with his children. He is survived by his spouse of 67 years, Mrs. Kamlaben, three children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024 at his younger son Kirtibhai’s home in South Boston, Virginia, USA surrounded by his family.
