Dwight Anthony Jones

SOUTH BOSTON Mr. Dwight Anthony Jones, of South Boston, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the age of 63.Born in Halifax County on January 18, 1955, he was the son of the late William Walker Jones and Tine Bell Cozart Jones. Dwight was married to Dr. Virginia Powers Jones. He was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Dwight is survived by a son, John Dwight Walker Jones and fianc̩ Jessica; his daughters, Rachel Katherine Talbott and husband Buck of Newport News, Sarah Elizabeth Schmucker of Richmond, and Dr. Mary Margaret Sizemore and husband Chris of Boydton; his brothers, Christopher D. Jones,and Craig A. Jones and husband, Bryan Price; his sister, Sharon Moore and husband Jimmy; and grandchildren, Aiden W. Talbott, Eli J. Talbott, and Heidi Bryn Marie Sizemore. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11AM at Main Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Wayne Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 6 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6 Р8PM and other times at the home of his son, 1128 Bold Springs Road, South Boston.
