Eardean Stone Elliott

Eardean Stone Elliott, 71, widow of Wayne Columbus Elliott, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital. The daughter of Andrew Haley and Bessie Wilkins Stone, Eardean was born in Granville County, NC and reared in Virgilina, VA. She was a homemaker and babysitter. Funeral services will be 2PM Tuesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in the Amis Chapel Church Cemetery. Eardean is survived by her daughter, Carol Elliott Peregoy of Virgilina, sons Bobbie Lee Elliott and Michael Wayne Elliott of Nelson, and Dale Elliott of Bullock, NC. Her sister, Betty S. Williamson of Nelson, brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Mary Stone of Roxboro, NC; Roosevelt and Judy Stone and A.C. Stone, of Virgilina; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Monday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
