Earlene Trower Carlton

Boydton, VA - Earlene Trower Carlton, wife of Robert M. Carlton, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the age of 71.She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Dalmer Catlett and Earl Conway Trower and was raised in Camden County, NC.Mrs. Carlton retired from the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services after 15 years of employment. She was a member of Boydton Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Earlene Carlton is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Deborah Harris of Chesterfield and Michael and Susan Harris of Virginia Beach.Also surviving are grandchildren, Malia, Zachary, Laura and Katherine and brother, Earl Trower of Texas. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home 703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Graveside services for Mrs. Carlton will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 at Boydton Baptist Cemetery with the Reverend Carl Bagley officiating.
