Earnest Stover Reaves

Mr. Earnest Stover Reaves of South Boston, VA died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the age of 78. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on October 18, 1932 to the late Stover Reaves and the late Mary Louise Satterfield Reaves and was married to the late Jean Whitlow Reaves. Mr. Reaves was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a dispatcher for the South Boston Police Dept.. He was a member of First Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Holly R. Owen and Heidi R. Mills and husband, Troy S. Mills, all of Glen Allen, VA; two brothers, Warner Reeves of Alton, VA and Curtis Reaves and wife, Dale of South Boston, VA; and three grandchildren, Dylan Mills, Hunter Mills, and Abby Mills. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents,and a sister-in-law, Peggy Reeves. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 6039 Philpott Rd., South Boston, VA.
