Edith Ayscue Brantley

Edith Ayscue Brantley, 95, of Virgilina, VA , formerly of Bunn, NCdiedThursday, January 22, 2015. Born December 15, 1919 in Carthage, NC, Mrs. Brantley grew up in Buie's Creek, NC. A graduate of Meredith College she was a dedicated elementary school teacher for over 30 years, retiring from Bunn Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lee “Pap” Brantley and survived by an only child, Kenneth Lee Brantley, Jr. and wife, Brenda; one grandchild, Joseph Beau Brantley and wife, Holly; and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Kayla. Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Old Bunn Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Keen officiating.
