Edith Mae Williamson Meeler

November 6, 1929 — March 3, 2024

Edith Mae Williamson Meeler of the Turbeville community, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the age of 94.  She was born in Halifax County on November 6, 1929 to the late Jethro Amos Williamson and Laura Dalton Williamson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Claude Meeler, Jr.

Edith was a member of Olive Branch Methodist Church.  She always enjoyed playing "Rook" and croquet.  Her special times were with the grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing games with them.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Thompson, Dale Sadler (Kent), Jeannie Morgan (David) and Dwight Meeler; grandchildren, Chris Morgan (Amy), Matthew Morgan, Nick Sadler (Amy), and Brandi Mitchell (Vann); great grandchildren, Jade Spence (Tommy), Kaitlyn Morgan, Madelyn Morgan, Nora Sadler, Merritt Sadler, Edie Sadler and Fletcher Mitchell; great great grandchildren, Rylan Dunn, Layla Spence and Brady Spence; siblings, Robert Williamson, Doris Ann Zimmerman and Joyce Lewis; sister-in-law, Irene Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Harold Williamson and Johnny Williamson; brother-in-law, Thomas Zimmerman and sister-in-law, Marie Williamson.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Olive Branch Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at her home.
