Elgie Bailey King

Elgie Bailey King passed on August 6, 2022. He was born in Charlotte County Va to the late Joseph and Minnie King on May 28, 1932. He was the husband of Frances S. King of Scottsburg, VA. The father of Teresa C. King (Kenneth Smith) of Scottsburg, VA, and David W. King of Raleigh, NC. The grandfather of Hollie Flora, (husband Matthew Flora), and great-grandfather of Saleen Flora, all from Scottsburg, VA. He was preceded in death by four sisters and 3 brothers.

He loved his wife of 66 years, family and friends, as well as farm life and fishing.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home 115 Main Street South Boston, VA 24592 on August 8 from 7 to 8 pm. Graveside service will be held at The Oakland Cemetery on Green Level Road in Scottsburg, VA 24589 on August 9, 2022 at 10 am.
