Elizabeth "Betty" Vaughan Anderson

NATHALIE Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Vaughan Anderson passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the age of 65. Born in Halifax County on January 15, 1956, she was the daughter of Virginia Moore and the late Charlie H. Vaughan. She was married to Ricky L. Anderson for 43 years. Betty was a textile worker, having worked at all the local mills. She was a farmer, loving her farm and cattle. She enjoyed working in her flowers and her beloved pet, Maddie Lou. Betty was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by sisters, Tammie V. Loftis (Donnie) of Halifax, and Nancy V. Matthews (Harry) of Bullock, NC; brothers, Charles L. Vaughan (Patricia) of Halifax and Sammy R. Vaughan (Betty Ann) of Halifax; as well as five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.Betty is further survived by special friends Henry and Liz Byler and family.She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Douglas W. Vaughan, Sr. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Aubrey Heath officiating.
