Elizabeth Conner Wilborn

Elizabeth Conner Wilborn (Pudden) of 2212 Willow Street, South Boston, VA passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. Born June 30, 1936 to the late Charlie Whitfield Conner and the late Elender Ligon Conner, she was married to the late William Herbert (Billy) Wilborn. Mrs. Wilborn was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church. She loved her family and her pets and enjoyed cooking and people watching. Survivors include five children, Nancy Jo W. Alkins and husband Gary of Roxboro, NC, William C. (Buddy) Wilborn, Sr. and wife Janice, Tony L. Wilborn and wife Kelly, Danny M. Wilborn and wife Wanda, and Jeffrey B. Wilborn and wife Susan, all of South Boston, VA. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Payne and brothers-in-law, Robert Wazeka, Sr. and Leonard Wilbourne; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Rickman, Wynette Nichols, Gladys Austin, and Lillian Roller; and brothers, Curtis Conner, Ernest Conner, and Clarence Conner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Ash Avenue Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ash Ave. Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and other times at the home.
