VIRGILINA, VA Ella Long Williams of Virgilina, VA, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 7, 2019.Born in Halifax County on October 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Osborne David Long and the late Bernice Bray Long. Ella worked tirelessly throughout her life until she became a full time care giver for her mom. She loved to fish and take her children and grandchildren on car rides, listening to music and seeing the sights. She was a member of Union Christian Church in Virgilina. She retired as a loom worker at Harriet and Henderson Yarns. She is survived by her Son, Jeffrey Bagby; and her Daughter, Denise Bagby Bennett and husband, John; Grandchildren, Misty Bagby; Megan Bagby Robinson and husband, Trey; Jessica Bennett Tullar and husband, Darrell; and Brian Bennett; 6 Great Grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Bryson Martin, Paisley Tullar, Greylan Tullar, Brinley Tullar and Sadie Robinson; Sisters, Frances Long Olsa and husband, Paul; and Helen Long Watts and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Bennett; sister, Margaret Cifers; brother, Raymond Long and daughter in law, Gina Talbott Bagby. Celebration Services for Ella Williams will be Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Union Christian Church in Virgilina with Reverend Norman Talley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 5:00-6:00 PM at Union Christian Church and other times at the home, 1073 Ninth Street, Virgilina, VA.
