Clarksville, Va. Emil Nicholas McKean, 92, died the morning of August 5, 2015 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace.Mr. McKean was born on March 9, 1923 to the late Everett McKean and Lillian Graber McKean in Shohola, Pennsylvania.He was the owner and operator of McKean Pet Food, the family business to which he dedicated his life. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM.Mr. McKean is survived by his five daughters, Bonnie Daily and husband, Anthony, Sandra O’Heren, Joette VanBuskirk and husband, George, Darlene Schacht, Lillian Barrett, one son, Devin McKean, his brother, Fred McKean and many grandchildren, great grandchildren anda great great granddaughter.The second visitation will be at 1:00PM on Saturday August 8, 2015 at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford, Pennsylvania.A funeral service and burial will follow in the McKean Valley Cemetery.The family of Emil Nicholas McKean is being cared for by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
