Emily Faye Hodnett

Buffalo Junction, VA - Emily Faye Redd Hodnett, widow of Hubert Hodnett, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the age of 68. Emily was born on November 8, 1949 in Halifax County, VA to the late Eddie Thomas and Mildred Hall Redd. She was a caregiver and crafter, who loved making things for her family such as baby blankets, coasters and other gifts. Mrs. Hodnett is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Chris Riley of Buffalo Junction; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Doris Custer of Midlothian and a sister Phyllis Stuart (Dallas Mitchum) of Chase City. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Redd. A Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 4433 Shiney Rock Rd, Clarksville, VA with visitation to follow the service.
