Emma Jane Hart Snoddy

February 4, 1929 — November 2, 2024

Emma Jane Hart Snoddy of Virgilina passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 95.  She was born in Granville County, NC to the late Willie Washington Hart and the late Cora Jane Frazier Hart.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Melville Ray Snoddy.

Emma was a member of Hitesburg Baptist Church.  During her working years, Emma was employed  with Burlington Mills.  She loved watching wrestling, cooking & feeding her "boys".  She loved her family, especially the grandchildren & great grandchildren and not to be forgotten her cat "Baby".

She is survived by sons, Larry Robert Snoddy (Veronica) and Cecil Ray Snoddy (Jayne); daughter-in-law, Jane Snoddy; grandchildren, Lori & Jason Williamson, Christopher Crouch, Timothy & Stacy Crouch and Destiny Cameron; great-grandchildren, Madison, Kaylee, Christopher, Timothy Jr., Trenton, Willow; sister, Rena Yancey and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Lindy Winston Snoddy & Barney Lee Snoddy.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Virgilina Cemetery with Reverend Mike Riley officiating.
