Emma Sue Redd

Emma Sue Redd of Virgilina, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on August 28, 1940, in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Johnson Redd, Sr. and the late Mary Ella Elliott Redd. Emma Sue worked as a secretary for many years at Burlington Industries. She was a talented crafter and enjoyed making greeting cards. Emma also enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. She was a member of North Fork Baptist Church.

Emma Sue Redd is survived by her siblings, Andrew Johnson Redd, Jr. and Mary Anice Redd; niece, Tammy Denise Redd; nephew, Andrew Jason Redd; great niece, Courtney Faith Bowes and great-great niece, Courtlynn Rae Durden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mac Earl Redd.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 20 at 2:00PM at North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Doug Ballew will officiate the service.
