Eric Peck Degrandcourt

Eric Peck deGrandcourt, 45, husband of Katrina Spraker deGrandcourt, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. Eric was the son of Robert Fancher and Judith Hartmann deGrandcourt of Clarksville. He was born in Norfolk and had lived in California, New York, North Carolina, and Virginia. An Army veteran, Eric and Katrina moved to Clarksville in October from King George where he had worked at the Charles County Board of Education as a painter. Funeral services will be 2Pm Wednesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Balfour officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. In addition to his wife and parents, Eric is survived by his daughter, Katelynn Judith deGrandcourt and son, Eric Carl deGrandcourt, both of the home; stepchildren, Jimmy Curtis Rigdon, III of Denver, CO and Crystal Marie Rigdon Velasco and her daughter, Brianna Carmen Velasco, both of Montgomery Co., MD; brother, Robert Fancher deGrandcourt, Jr. of Alexandria, his children, Tyler and Bridgett, and grandchildren, Franklin and Jane.
