Erna Rae Estes Coleman

Boydton, VA - Mrs. Erna Rae Estes Coleman, widow of Thomas Clifton Coleman, Jr., died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on October 13, 1928 to the late Roy Thomas Estes and the late Alma Ethel Thomason Estes.Mrs. Coleman worked as an office administrator at Bluestone High School early in her life.She was a member of Boydton Baptist Church for over sixty years. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her sons and daughters, Martha C. Gotschalk (George) of Chester; Thomas C. Coleman, III (Mary N.) of Boydton; Gary Rogers Coleman (Patricia) of Clarksville; Steven Estes Coleman (Lisa) of Emporia; and Kathryn C. Wright (George) of Prattville, AL.Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Analaide Wilkinson of Union Level, a brother in law, E. Eugene Coleman (Leona) of Boydton and a sister in law, Christine Estes of South Hill. A graveside service for Erna Rae Estes Coleman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Boydton Baptist Church Cemetery.The Reverend Robert Culbertson will be officiating.
