Mr. Espey Roy Jones, Jr. of 2522 Halifax Rd., South Boston, VA died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the age of 83. He was born on July 26, 1929 to the late Espey Roy Jones, Sr. and the late Erva Brooks Jones and was married to Virginia "Jenny" Williams Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from J.P. Stevens. He was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Jenny" Williams Jones of South Boston, VA; two daughters, Patsy J. LeBoeuf and husband, John of South Boston, VA and Susan J. Sandridge and husband, Michael of Hanover, VA; a son, Michael Jones and wife, Jackie of Ringgold, VA; two brothers, Reginald Jones of Charlotte, NC and Donald Jones of South Boston, VA; seven grandchildren, Matthew Sandridge and wife, Candace, Eric Sandridge and wife, Nicole, Brian Jones and wife, Amanda, Heather Bailey and husband, Brad, Ashley Jones, Lucas Jones, and Taylor Jones; and four great garndchildren, Brian Michael Jones, II, Kinsley Jones, Willow Bailey, and Madelyn Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tom Jones and Jimmy Jones, and a sister, Erva Delores "Dee" Michelli. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Rigg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
