Estelle Harman Mckinney

Estelle Harman McKinney of 1800 Vaughan St., South Boston, VA died Wednesday, August 4, 2011 at the age of 80. She was born in Floyd Co., VA on March 6, 1931 to the late John Milton Harman, Sr. and the late Veda Hall Harman. Ms. McKinney was a retired ABC store manager. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a former member of the Tuesday Women's Club, a former board member of the Halifax Co. Historical Museum, and a former volunteer at Halifax Regional Hospital. Survivors include a son, Dale A. McKinney and wife, Angela of South Boston, VA; a brother, William Ray Harman and wife, Edith of Halifax, VA; three grandchildren, Cole McKinney, Burke McKinney, and Telisa McKinney; two great grandchildren; and a special friend, Brenda Tilley of South Boston. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM and at other times at the home of Dale & Angela McKinney, 1800 Vaughan St., South Boston, VA.
