Mr. Eugene B. Harbour, 95 of 2119 Calvary Rd., Alton, VA died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at his home. He was born in Haviland, KS on April 27, 1914, the son of the late Carlos Eugene Harbour, Sr. and the late Mary Exam Blakemour Harbour and was married to the late Evelyn May Williamson Harbour. He was a retired supervisor with the Social Security Administration, a veteran of the United States Army Air Force serving during World War II, and attended Calvary United Methodist Church. Mr. Harbour was a founder and lifetime member of Semora Volunteer Fire Department, he also established the Calvary Community Watch and was an avid golfer at Tuscarora Country Club. Mr. Harbour is survived by his daughter, Jean Carton & husband, Buddy of Baltimore MD, Grandchildren Cheryl Lynn Carton and Jerry Carton; Great Grandchildren Andrew “Andy” Carton, Michael “Mike” Carton and Courtney Carton; Sister-in-law, Gray Williamson; Nieces Linda Williamson, Faith Doyle, Carolyn Williamson and Sherry Kemp; Nephews Steve Harbour, Davis Harbour, Garry Williamson, Glenn Williamson and Donald Kemp; and his best friend “Sweetie”. Mr. Harbour was also preceded in death by his Brother Carlos Harbour, Jr.. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 11:00 am at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Mrs. Pat B. Toney and Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Monday night March 8, 2010 from 7 until 8:30 pm and at other times at Breezy Oaks Bed & Breakfast, 2115 Calvary Rd., Alton.
