Eula Grey Kindley Morton

Mrs. Eula Grey Kindley Morton, 72, wife of John Edward Morton, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at her home. Born in Charlotte County and reared in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Morton was the daughter of the late John Ray and Vilenis Tucker Kindley. She was a graduate of Boydton High School and Mary Washington College. A school teacher in Mecklenburg County for many years, Mrs. Morton moved to the Washington, DC area with her husband in 1973. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Boydton Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Morton is survived by her sister, Annie Elizabeth "Beth" Dunn of Baskerville; brother, Myron Ray "Sheik" Kindley of Virginia Beach; half-brother, James Kindley of Ocala, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Eugene Kindley, Sr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2PM Thursday.
