Eva Shackelford Firth

ALTON, VA Mrs. Eva Shackelford Firth went to be with her Savior on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the age of 68. Born in Poquoson, VA on October 4, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Shackelford, Sr. and the late Corleda Merl Firth and was married to George Edward Firth, Jr. for 49 years. Eva was a member of Victory Christian Center in Poquoson, VA.After 27 years of service as a bookkeeper with the Treasurer’s Office in Hampton, VA, she retired to Alton, VA to enjoy the good life. Survivors include her husband, George; sons, Robert E. Firth (Amy) and Neil W. Firth (Lucy “Lulu”); grandchildren, Thomas and Casey Firth; 8 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved companion, Pretty Girl. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel with Reverend Bruce Featherston officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 1185 Hendricks Lane, Alton, VA.
