Evelyn Hatcher Stuart

SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mrs. Evelyn Hatcher Stuart passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 91.Born in Halifax County on October 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herbert Hatcher and the late Hycatha Cole Hatcher and was married to the late John Elliott Stuart. She was a member of McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include nephews, Marshall Stinnett of Buchanan, VA, Charles “Chuck” Herbert Hatcher, III of Roanoke, VA., Vernon E. Stuart, Henry C. Stuart, Christopher Stuart; niece, Lyn Stuart Hart; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Evelyn Hatcher Stuart will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Aaron’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM.
