Evie Waller Boyd

Mrs. Evie Waller Boyd of 1011 Florida Trail, Virgilina, VA died Monday, December 27, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born in Halifax County on December 20, 1920 to the late Elmer Waller and the late Emma Waller and was married to the late Floyd Edward “Flip” Boyd. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a retired sales clerk at J. J. Newberry. Survivors include her son; Wayne Edward Boyd and his wife, Tammy of Virgilina; her sister-in-law, Lottie Hite Boyd of South Boston and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. George Gorman officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Tuesday at Brooks Funeral Home from 7:00 PM to 8:30 and at other times at the home.
