Faye Moore Weston

Bullock, NC (formerly from Red Oak, VA) - Faye Moore Weston, widow of Meredith Clarence “Doc” Weston, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born on September 19, 1939 in Oakville, Virginia to the late Marjorie Martin and Louis Moore. Prior to marriage, Faye worked at General Electric in Lynchburg. After meeting and marrying “Doc”, she moved to Red Oak. As “Doc” worked in the shop, Faye, who loved the outdoors, worked in the tobacco fields. She enjoyed watching classic television reruns, doing word search puzzles, gospel music and spoiling her dog. Faye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Weston and Carl Elliott of Bullock, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Anne Moore of Appomattox; sisters Sue Campbell, Jessalyn Burcher, both of Appomattox and Eva Moore of Mineral; special friends Cliff and Betty Elliott of Bullock, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Becky Covington and Margueritte Jordan. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6700 Barnesville Hwy, Red Oak, Virginia 23964. The family will received friends two hours prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. The Reverend Rodney Barwick will officiate the service.
