Floyd Dean Wilbourn

VIRGILINA, VA Mr. Floyd Dean Wilbourn passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 64.Born in Halifax County on April 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Claude Allen Wilbourn and the late Vivian Koger Wilbourn. Dean was a graduate of Halifax County High School, class of 1972 and was a member of Revelation Baptist Church.He was employed at Dollar General in the Maintenance Department. He is survived by daughters, Tracy Anderson (Drew) of Virgilina, Heather Wilbourn of Sylvania, Al, and Lora Powell (Richard) of South Boston; son, David Wilbourn of South Boston; sisters, Faye Barnhart of Hepbzibah, GA, Lucille Reaves of South Boston and Tamra Conner of South Boston; brothers, Melvin Wilbourn and Leonard Wilbourn; 6 grandchildren and companion, Patricia Cullop of South Boston. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Allen Wilbourn, Wayne Wilbourn and Clarice Hite. Funeral services for Mr. Wilbourn will be Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Revelation Baptist Church with Reverend Kenny Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3:00 PM prior to the service.Burial will follow in Ebenezer Mennonite Church Cemetery.
