Frances Pulliam Gittman

Frances Pulliam Gittman of Baskerville, VA died Friday, April 1, 2016 at the age of 70. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on October 22, 1945 to the late Walter Lee Pulliam and the late Alpha Simmons Pulliam. Frances was a member of Aarons Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing softball, horseshoes, and fishing. Survivors include sisters, Georgia Anderson, Ida Smith and husband, John Henry, Ruby Wade, and Betty Smith and husband, James, all of Virgilina, VA; brother, Mason Pulliam of Virgilina; a number of nieces and nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter Amos Pulliam and William Lee Pulliam, and sister, Mary Lou Pulliam. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Aarons Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Saturday, April 2 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Betty and James Smith, 1180 Hitesburg Church Rd., Virgilina.
