Frances Roxana Green

Mrs. Frances Roxana Green of 1081 Paradise Rd., Alton, VA died Monday, February 24, 2014 at the age of 76. She was born in Drew, MS on February 26, 1937 to the late Brooks Ratliff and the late Maye Sanders Ratliff and was married to Lloyd Green. Mrs. Green was a homemaker and was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Green; two daughters, Peggy Brooks and Maye Whitfield; four sons, William Green, David Green, Lee Green, and Alan Green; and ten grandchildren, Stephen Brooks, Jr., Alicia Bailey, Heather Root, Jessica Bains, William Henry Green, Samantha Green, Brandon Green, Travis Green, Candace Green, and Cody Green. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Stewart and Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at other times at the home of Maye Whitfield, 1081 Paradise Road, Alton, VA 24520.
