Frances Hayes Luffman

On Monday, March 23, 2015, Frances Hayes Luffman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.Frances was born to the late Hammett Bradsher Hayes and Bessie Walker Carey on April 27, 1927 in Granville County, NC.Frances was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. For 38 years she worked for Burlington Industries in the quality control department and spent another 18 years, after retirement, working for the Patchwork House.She held a special place in her heart for flowers, gardening and cross stitching.Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Lloyd Williamson of Bullock, NC, her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Sue Luffman of Clarksville and her sister Mary Ann Strum of Norlina, NC.She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Sheila Luffman of Clarksville, Kyle and Rhonda Williamson of Bullock, NC, Stephen and Jenny Luffman of Bullock, NC, and her five great grandchildren, Josh, Elijah, Kyle Jr., Evan, and Jasper.She is preceded in death by her husband, J. N. Luffman, by six brothers, two sisters, and her grandson Joshua Williamson.The family will receive visitors at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.The funeral service will take place a Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2:00 pm.Interment will follow at Oakhurst Cemetery.
