Frances Seamster Watts

SOUTH BOSTON Frances Seamster Watts passed away at her home on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the age of 100.Born in Halifax County on November 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Maude Fallen Seamster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durell Watts Sr. Frances was the cafeteria manager at Clover Elementary School for 38 years. She loved to cook. She is survived by her son, Sam Watts (Wanda Bowen); granddaughter, Twila Wallace; great grandson, Prince Cedric Wallace and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Buchanan and Evelyn Seamster; brothers, Wiley Seamster, Mervin Seamster and Harold Seamster. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Reverend Randy Holmes. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to her caregivers, especially Jackie Fountain. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sentara Hospice, 2204 Wilborn Ave., South Boston, VA.
