Frances Ragland Webb

Frances Ragland Webb, 67, died April 15, 2005 in Johnston Willis Hospital. Born in Danville and reared in Clarksville, she was the daughter of the late Merrill Newton and Ethel Buchanan Ragland. A graduate of Clarksville High School and later Johnston Willis School of Nursing, she worked her entire life as a Registered nurse, completing her career as a Supervisor Nurse at Johnston Willis Hospital and later as a nurse for Dr. Young. Frances is survived by brothers, Merrill Newton, Ragland, Jr. of Richmond and Julian Cortez Ragland of Ponte Verda Beach, FL. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Hillard Buchanan Powers of Richmond; Burton and Mary Buchanan of Clarksville; Stuart and Mary Ann Buchanan of Skipwith; Franklin Buchanan of Richmond; nephew, Randolph Cortez Ragland of Ponte Verda Beach, FL; cousins, Loretta Perry of Richmond, Graham Ellixson of Chesapeake and Lawrence Ellixson of Greensboro, NC and a dear friend, Patricia Parker of Richmond. A memorial service will be 2PM Monday at Oakhusrt Cemetery in Clarksville. Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
