Frankie Bohannon Overby

Mr. Frankie Bohannon Overby of 691 Sapling Branch Rd., Timberlake, NC died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the age of 75. He was born in Mecklingburg Co., VA on August 14, 1938 to the late William Henry "Hunt" Overby and the late Sissy Ivy Overby. Mr. Overby was a retired doffer for Burlington Industries and a member of Nelson Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Clara "Nancy" O. Cole of Virgilina, VA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Alvin Overby and one sister, Barbara Francis Overby. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. George Crute officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of his niece, Judy Cole, 1075 Whitt Farm Rd., Virgilina, VA 24598.
