Franklin "Frankie" Eugene Sheldon

Franklin “Frankie” Eugene Sheldon of Chase City, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the age of 58. Born in South Hill, VA, on June 7, 1965, he was the youngest son of the late Dalton Sheldon and the late Bettye Sheldon Tucker. Frankie will be remembered as a kind, gentle spirit who enjoyed combing flea markets for antiques and then lovingly restoring them. He was a talented painter and handyman.

Frankie is survived by his siblings, Sue Vaughan and her husband, Joseph of Nelson, VA and Curtis Sheldon and wife, Lisa of Skipwith, VA; nieces and nephews, Todd Vaughan, Bryan Sheldon, Heather Rogers, and Mary Sheldon; great nieces and nephews, Madisyn Rogers, Kaitlyn Rose, Landry Rogers, and Joseph Vaughan; as well as special friends, Mark and Tammy Johnson and “adopted niece”, Madison Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, E.M. and Mary Sheldon of Chase City, VA and maternal grandparents, Anderson and Nettie Brown of Lenoir City, TN.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 15 in Woodland Cemetery with the Reverend Jimmy Garland officiating. The family will receive friends graveside 30 minutes before the service begins.  In lieu of flowers, Frankie's family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
