Franklin Steve Lacks

Franklin Steve Lacks, age 77, of Clover, VA went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2022. Born in Halifax County on December 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Edward and Hallie "Sis" Lacks. He will be deeply missed and remembered by his family and friends.

Steve was a lifelong tobacco farmer and also worked at Lacks' Grocery in Clover. Steve was a great lover of history and in his free time enjoyed watching his Westerns and going fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Tanksley; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Shotwell (Billy), Franklin Edmondson and Hallie Tanksley; 4 great grandchildren, Skylar, Macy, Zachary, and Fenix Shotwell; sister, Mollie Powell; nieces & nephews, Vanessa Faulkner, Renee Duffey, Candy Terrell, Tracy Hudson, Shanna Thompson, Steven Powell, Kelly Hensley, Kendall Lacks, Christy Lewis, and Christoper Goff; numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lacks; father, Edward Lacks; mother, Hallie "Sis" Lacks and brother Carl Lacks.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Red Level Independent Church of God with Pastors Ronnie Talley and David Smith officiating.
