Franklin D. "Bro" Snow

Franklin D. "Bro" Snow, born January 31, 1933, departed from this Earth on Friday, May 3, 2013 to be with his heavenly Father. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Geneva Thomas Snow; his children, Scott Snow and wife, Wanda, Robin Collier and her friend, Lee, Kathy Seay and husband, Willard, and Michael Snow and wife, Mary; his grandchildren, Erica Snow, Kelly Snow, Travis Collier, Alexander Seay, Baine Seay, Christopher Snow, Megan Seay, Ashley Kutz, and Jonathan Vicks; a sister, Mildred Daniels; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Maggie Snow; brothers, Sonny, Willie, Arnold, James, Johnny, Melvin and Percy Snow; sisters, Betty Jones, Beatrice Hamlett, and Lessie Snow. "Bro" loved his family, hunting, fishing, baseball, softball, and making his famous stews. He spent his summers tilling the earth in his garden and in his tobacco fields. Mr. Snow was a member of the South Boston Church of God. He was a member of the Hyco Rd. Hunting Club and the Hyco Rd. Ruritan Club. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the South Boston Church of God. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7 at 2 PM at the South Boston Church of God with Dr. Bruce Hagy and Rev. Don Fox officiating. Interment will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home.
