Gallie Puryear Gordon

Gallie Puryear Gordon, 95, widow of Charlie Elmo Gordon, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville. Gallie was born in Mecklenburg County on August 27, 1918 to the late Samuel Jackson and Lottie Redd Puryear. She was employed for many years with Central Fidelity Bank, retiring as Head Teller. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Jim Repass of Richmond and son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Michelle Gordon of Clarksville. Her grandson, Christopher Gordon; sister, Maurine Morris of Boydton and brother, Earlie Puryear of Buffalo Junction, also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Puryear.
