Gary Steven Harkey, Sr.

Gary Steven "Steve" Harkey, Sr. of Clarksville passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the age of 74. He was born in Albermarle, NC on September 30, 1948 to Grady Lee Harkey and Evelyn Whitely Harkey. Steve lived and worked in Residsville NC for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Arthur Harkey. Steve was retired from Miller Brewing Company with 30 years of employment. He loved drawing, sketching, and photography. His hobbies included golfing, boating, bird watching and feeding them. He was very generous and had a passion for giving, a passion for living, and a heart of gold. He enjoyed spending free time with his friends, once a friend always a friend, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country for 4 years. In addition to his wife, Katherine, he is survived by his son, Jeremy Lumpkins and his dog, Katie. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Steven Harkey, Jr and a brother, Douglas Harkey. Services will be held at a later date.
