Genevieve Walton Sizemore

Mrs. Genevieve Walton Sizemore, 94, widow of William Howard Sizemore, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Ballentine Home in Norfolk, VA. Born October 30, 1915 to John Wade and Toy Lewis Walton, Genevieve was born and reared in Pittsylvania County, VA. She attended Averett College. Mrs. Sizemore taught school for 30 years at various schools in Pittsylvania, Halifax and Mecklenburg counties. She was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday at Clarksville Baptist Church with the Reverends Greg Randall and Jane Lyon officiating. Interment will follow at Oakhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Sizemore is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William Howard, Jr. "Bill" and Mary Kay Sizemore of Williamsburg, VA and John Walton and Lou Sizemore of Wellington, FL. Her grandchildren, Justin Sizemore, Julie and Jennie Sizemore, Anne Parker Huret, and Rebecca Sizemore also survive. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Clarksville Baptist Church, P.O.
