George Randall Griffin

George Randall Griffin, 68, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 in Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. George was born December 5, 1944 in South Boston to George Morton Griffin deceased and Gladys Ernestine Tuck Griffin. He was employed with Burlington Industries in Lynchburg as a Truck Dispatcher for many years. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jane Lyon officiating. Interment will follow in Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In addition to his mother, Mr. Griffin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Roger Mason; their children, Savannah, Joshua, Brittany and Chad Mason; son, Bobby Griffin and his fiancé, Kim Harmon and her daughter, Felicia, all of Lynchburg; and sisters, Helen McLaughlin and her husband, Ray deceased of Glen Allen and Barbara Poe and her husband, David, of Asheboro. A blessing to his family, George was a loving son, brother, daddy, and papa.
