George Allen Walker

George Allen Walker of Cluster Springs passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born on October 17, 1942 to the late William Thomas Walker and the late Rosemond Whitt Walker.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Goad Walker.

Allen was the owner of Walker's Auto Repair in Cluster Springs.  He loved working with his wrecker & rollback.  He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department.  Allen never met a stranger and always enjoyed talking with his friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Cathy Hart & husband, Howard and Karen Irby & husband, David; brother, William Whitt Walker and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wendell Thomas Walker and Clifford Samuel Walker.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Harmony United Methodist Church with Reverend Norman Talley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00 PM until the service and other times at his home.
