Gerry Watkins Talbott

Clarksville, VA - Gerry Watkins Talbott passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at the age of 57. He was born in Halifax County on May 24, 1962, the son of Glennwood Watkins Talbott and LuRay Trout Talbott. He was a 1982 graduate of Halifax High School. Gerry was a truck driver for K.R. Snead Trucking of Scottsburg. He previously had worked with R.O. Harrell, Bailey Tobacco, Burlington Industries and Talbott & Marks. Gerry’s favorite pastime was riding his beloved Harley Davidson. Cherishing his memories are his life companion and true love, Helen Compton of Clarksville; daughter, Holly T. Adkins and her husband, Mike and their son, Declan, of Baltimore, MD; son, Greyson Talbott of Oxford, NC; parents, Glenn and LuRay Talbott of Clarksville; brother, Robert Talbott and his wife, Carol, of Danville; and sister, Lynn T. Mulherin of Orlando, FL. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 2019, in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.The Reverend Joey Tucker will officiate.The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. on Sunday, August 11 at the funeral home and all other times at the home of his parents.
