Mrs. Gladys Baylous Daniel of 200 Leigh St., South Boston died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the age of 75. She was born in Halifax Co. on January 3, 1936 to the late Henry Brice Baylous and the late Mary Martha Cole Baylous and was married to Clark David "Gabe" Daniel, Sr.. Mrs. Daniel was a member of Second Baptist Church and was the retired owner/operator of The Craft House. In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Clark Daniel, Jr. & wife, Melissa of South Boston; one daughter, Peggy Daniel also of South Boston; two brothers, Steve Baylous and Wayne Baylous both of Virgilina, VA; five sisters, Ruby Jacobs of South Boston, VA, Lola Matthews and Linda Barton both of Virgilina, VA, Kaffie "Cap" Ashley of Roxboro, NC, and Selma Jean Blanks of South Boston, VA; five grandchildren, Dan Irby, Sarah, Chance and Mckenzie Daniel, and Lindsey Adams; and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Henry "Billy" Baylous. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd McClure officiating.
