Glenn S. Matthews

Mr. Glenn S. Matthews, 57 of 4099 Pleasant Grove Rd., Halifax, VA died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Halifax County on April 13, 1952, the son of the late William Logan Matthews and the late Sadie Wilkerson Matthews. Mr. Matthews was the owner and operator of Matthews Plumbing. Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife, Debra Morgan Matthews of the home; sons, John Scott Matthews of South Boston and Victor Dirk Matthews of Halifax; sisters, Barbara Ann Seamster of Alton and Willie Mae Jones of South Boston; and grandchildren, Arica Matthews, Jessie Balducci, and Brooke Matthews. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Maxine Crenshaw officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Wednesday night March 24, 2010 from 7 until 8:30 pm and at other times at the home of Nancy Matthews, 2100 Sandy Beach Rd., South Boston.
